2024-25 MSC Women's Basketball Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference 2024-25 Women's Basketball Awards were announced on Thursday.
Campbellsville's (Ky.) Lauren Lee was named the MSC Player of the Year while Georgetown's (Ky.) Teionni McDaniel is the Randy Vernon Defensive Player of the Year. Bethel’s (Tenn.) Micah Hart earned MSC Freshman of the Year honors.

Campbellsville's Ginger High Colvin was voted the MSC Coach of the Year by her peers while Miranda Denney was named the MSC Assistant Coach of the Year. Both coaches earn this honor in back-to-back seasons!

Lee started in all 25 games for the Tigers averaging 17.7 points per game. She shot 48.8 percent (145-297) from the field and averaged 5.9 assists per game. Lee scored 20 or more points nine times this season and had a high of 30, twice. She ranks first in the conference in steals and second in the MSC in points per game.

McDaniel started in all 27 games for the Tigers, leading them in steals with 47 while averaging 1.7 steals per game. She also leads Georgetown in points per game, averaging 16 per game, and totaled 433 on the season. McDaniel anchors a Tiger defense that only allowed opponents to shoot 37% from the field, holding them on average to 62 points per game.

In her freshman campaign, Hart has played in and started all 27 games. Hart leads the Wildcats, averaging 17.4 points per game. She is shooting 44.1 percent from the field. Hart is averaging 4.8 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game, and 2 steals per game.

Colvin and Denney led the Tigers to a 24-2 overall record and a 10-2 MSC record while earning the co-regular season championship. Campbellsville is currently ranked No. 3 in the NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches Poll. Colvin earns Coach of the Year honors for the eighth time while Denney earns Assistant Coach of the Year honors for the third time.

Ten players were named to the first team while five players were named to the second team.
