BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Campbellsville University and the University of the Cumberlands capture the 2024-25 Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Regular Season Championship.
The Tigers and Patriots both finished with a 10-2 record, resulting in the Co-Championship.
For the Tigers, this is their third straight Regular Season Championship and 18th all-time dating back to the 1997 season. The Tigers are No.4 in the most recent NAIA Coache’s Poll.
Campbellsville is averaging 77 points per game while averaging 46.5 from the field. They shoot 38.2 percent from behind the arc, which ranks third nationally.
This clinched Cumberlands’ sixth MSC regular season title, with their last coming in the 2011-12 season. Cumberlands is 24-4 overall and 10-2 in the MSC and is No. 6 in the most recent NAIA Coaches' Poll.
Cumberlands is averaging 82.5 points per game which ranks seventh in the NAIA. The Patriots rank seventh in the NAIA shooting, at 44.6 percent. Cumberlands ranks third from behind the arc, shooting at 38.2 percent.
The Patriots will be the No. 1 seed while Campbellsville will be the No. 2 seed in the MSC Women's Basketball Tournament. This seeding is due to the Patriot’s tie with Campbellsville University with a 10-2 record, forcing a tiebreaker decision. This is based on their games against Freed-Hardeman University where Cumberlands (Ky.) defeated the Lions twice this season, winning the tiebreaker with Campbellsville who split with the Lions.
The MSC Women’s Basketball Tournament begins on March 1 at Studle Financial Arena on the campus of Bowling Green High School.
