BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Kyle Duke and Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Ra Briggs are the Mid-South Conference Men’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Ra Briggs – Campbellsville (Ky.) – Sr. – Forward – St. Louis, Mo.
- Briggs swatted six shots in the Tigers’ victory against the Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougars.
- The senior also snagged nine rebounds in the contest, anchoring a defense that limited the Cougars to just 31.1% shooting in the game.
- Briggs earns the first weekly honor of this season and of his career.
MSC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Kyle Duke – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Guard – Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- Duke led the Patriots to their 13th straight win with his 24 points.
- The senior also added four rebounds and three assists.
- Duke earns his second weekly conference honor this season and of his career.
