BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Bruno Garcia and Bethel’s (Tenn.) Gregory Cousins are the Mid-South Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Bruno Garcia – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Gr. – Defender – Lima, Peru
- Garcia anchored the Patriots’ backline in their 1-0 victory over the Campbellsville Tigers.
- The Patriots defense, led by Garcia, have recorded a clean sheet in every MSC match this season and remain undefeated in conference competition.
- Garcia earns the first conference weekly honor of this season and the second of his career.
MSC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Gregory Cousins – Bethel (Tenn.) – Sr. – Forward – Kingston, Jamaica
- Cousins had a brace and an assist in the Wildcats’ road win at Georgetown (Ky.).
- Cousins earns his second weekly conference honor this season and of his career.
