LOUISVILLE, Ky. – History is made for Cumberland University as they earn their first-ever Women’s Bowling Mid-South Conference Regular Season Championship! Competing in the last regular season event over the weekend at Ken Bowl Lanes in Louisville, Ky. the Phoenix secured the Regular Season Title.
Cumberland University finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial in fourth place with a total team score of 5592. Their best individual bowler, Serenity Freeman, finished the day with a total score of 874. This performance landed the Phoenix with a 26-2 record in the conference standings, earning them the conference Regular Season Championship.
The University of Pikeville finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial with a total team score of 5547, finishing fifth. Their best bowler, Brianna Rogers, finished with an individual score of 939. She ranked third in individual scores, helping Pikeville finish the regular season at 25-3 and finishing second in the conference standings.
Midway University finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial with a total team score of 5090 to finish the event in tenth. Their best individual bowler, Maegan Coleman, finished with a score of 837. Midway would finish the regular season with a 20-8 record, earning them third in the conference standings.
The University of the Cumberlands finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial with a total team score of 4957, finishing eleventh in the event. Their top bowler, Katie Palmer, finished with a score of 756. This helped the Patriots finish fourth in the conference standings with a record of 15-13.
Tennessee Wesleyan University finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial with a total team score of 5107, to finish ninth in the event. Their top bowler, Olivia Rush, finished with an individual score of 768. This helped Tennesse Wesleyan finish fifth in the conference standings with a record of 14-14.
Lindsey Wilson College finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial with a total team score of 4695, finishing the event in twelfth. Their best individual bowler, Janna Plains finished the event with an individual score of 884. This team's performance earned them the sixth spot in the conference standings with a record of 10-18.
Union Commonwealth University finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial with a total team score of 4301, finishing the event in fifteenth. This moved them to a 7-21 record in the conference standings, placing them seventh overall.
Lastly, Campbellsville University finished the Thomas N Burris Memorial with a total team score of 3968, finishing the event in sixteenth place. This performance led to their regular season record of 0-28 and placed them eighth in the conference standings.
This marks the end of the regular season for Men’s Bowling until February 20th when the Mid-South Conference Championship is held in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
