Mid-South 3D Archery concludes with University of the Cumberlands earning Eighth Straight Championship

Williamsburg, Ky. – Cumberlands (Ky.) captured its eighth-straight Mid-South Conference 3D Archery Championship Saturday.

The Patriots tallied a MSC-record 246 points with 26 podium finishes to capture the championship. Cumberlands recorded 9 golds, 12 silvers and 5 bronze medals, creating a wide gap from the field. The Patriots earned nine medals in the compound divisions.  The Patriots earned nine medals in fixed pins, six medals in barebow and seven in recurve.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) finished runner-up tallying 132 points. The Blue Raiders had 4 golds, 5 silvers and 7 bronze medals. Lindsey Wilson earned 3 medals in compound, 5 in fixed pins, 4 medals in barebow, and 5 medals in recurve.

Pikeville (Ky.) finished third with 103 points. The Bears recorded 5 gold medals, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals. The Bears earned 2 compound medals, 3 fixed medals, 4 barebow medals, and 5 recurve medals.

Union (Ky.) recorded 45 points to finish fourth. The Bulldogs captured 2 gold medals, both in men's and women’s compound bow. 5 medals in compound, and 1 medal in barebow. Bethel (Tenn.) was unable to come out with hardware, tying for 7th.
