BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Mid-South Conference officials announced Wednesday that Campbellsville earned the MSC Athletic Training Staff of the Year award.

Campbellsville earns the Athletic Training Staff of the Year award for a sixth time. They received the honor in 2014-15, 2017-18, 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22.

“I am extremely proud of my staff for being recognized as the Mid-South Conference Athletic Training Staff of the Year,” Campbellsville Director of Athletic Training Services Derek Port said. “We welcomed four new staff members in Justin Ramos, Lydia Haak, Kate Schrock, and Maddie Dawson and they all bought into the “More than a Game” philosophy that CU embodies.  The veterans, Josh Hawkins, Kaitlynn Sanfilippo, Elly Wright, Ryan Lee, and Reann Young welcomed them with open arms and guided them.  They all continue to impress me with their dedication, care, and servant leadership.”

“It would be remiss of me to not thank everyone who supports this staff,” Port added.  “From the coaches, to the student-athletes, Athletic Director Jim Hardy, Vice President of Athletics and Student Services Rusty Hollingsworth, and President Dr. Joe Hopkins, everyone supports us and our duty to care for the student-athletes.  Without that support we couldn’t succeed.”
