Cumberlands Captures Learfield Directors' Cup

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands (Ky.) finished atop the Learfield Directors' Cup standings for the 2023-24 season.

The Patriots become the second Mid-South Conference school to capture the Learfield Directors' Cup. Lindsey Wilson took home the honors in the 2015-16 season.

 During the course of the year, Cumberlands captured three national championships winning in women's soccer, men's indoor track and field and men's outdoor track and field. The Patriots finished with 985.5 points to sit atop the standings earning 393.5 points in the Spring, 332 points in the winter and 260 points in the fall.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Cumberland (Tenn.) also finished in the top 30 of the standings. The Blue Raiders finished with 514.5 points and earned 260 in the Spring to finish 25th. Lindsey Wilson earned 83 points in women's tennis, 69 points in men's golf, 63 points in women's golf and 45 points in men's tennis.

Cumberland totaled 496.75 points to finish 28th. The Phoenix totaled 188.5 points in the Spring. Cumberland earned 85 points in women's outdoor track and field, 48 points in men's golf, 25 points in men's tennis and 30.5 points in men's outdoor track and field.

Campbellsville (Ky.) finished 42nd with 394.25 points while Georgetown (Ky.) tallied 373 points to finish 48th. Georgetown captured the NAIA Men's Volleyball Championship in the Spring. Bethel (Tenn.) finished 72nd with 259 points while Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) rounds out the MSC teams in the standings with 175 points to finish 103rd. Freed-Hardeman won the national championship in men's basketball.
