Cumberlands & Georgetown Qualify for NAIA Cheerleading Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands and Georgetown are heading to the NAIA Cheerleading Championship, NAIA officials announced on Monday with the release of the national championship field.
Cumberlands earned one of the eight automatic bids into the championship. The Patriots won the conference title on March 9 in Bowling Green. Cumberlands is making its fifth appearance in the national championship.
Fifteen teams compete for the title on March 29-30 at the George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Georgetown earned an at-large selection into the field. The Tigers are making their fourth overall appearance.
