Men's Soccer 2024 All-Conference Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference announced its 2024 Men's Soccer All-MSC teams and honors on Tuesday.

Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Sebastian Tregarthen was named MSC Men’s Soccer Player of the Year for the second time in a row voted by the conference coaches while teammate Michael Rempel earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Georgetown’s (Ky.) Mohammed Mouzoune was selected as Freshman of the Year. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) would sweep coaches awards as Sicelo Buthelezi  was named Head Coach of the Year and his assistant Thomas Pazo, was named Assistant Coach of the Year.

The conference coaches voted on the yearly awards along with the all-conference teams. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

Tregarthen totaled 5 goals and 9 assists, totaling 19 points on the season, adding 2-2 on PK’s. Tregarthen had a season high 2 goals vs Shawnee State (9/21), and a season high 2 assists vs Freed-Hardeman (10/1).  

Rempel totaled 4 goals and 6 assists, totaling 14 points on the season, adding 1-1 on PK’s. Rempel added a stint in goal, as he earned 1 save on the season on 9/25 against Bethel (Tenn.) as well as a season high 2 assists on two separate occasions 10/23 and 10/29.

Mouziune totaled 12 goals and 7 assists in his freshman campaign to total 31 points on the season. The midfielder had a game high 2 goals twice, first on 8/30 and on 9/21. He had a season high 2 assists on 9/17, as he totaled 29% shooting.

Buthelezi led the Blue Raiders to a 8-5-2 regular season record, and an impressive 5-1 conference season. This earned Lindsey Wilson the No.1 seed in the MSC Tournament, as well as a spot in national rankings, ending the season at #25 nationally.

Pazo helped lead the Blue Raiders to the same 8-5-2 regular seasons and 5-1 conference season. In just his first season with the Blue Raiders, Pazo has made an impact to elevate their play on the pitch.

Twenty Two players were selected to both the first and second All-Conference teams.
