BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – #12 Georgetown (Ky.) goes back to back, capturing the 2024 Mid-South Conference Football Regular Season title on Saturday.
The Tigers defeated #24 Campbellsville (Ky.) 24-17. This game would need overtime to decide it! Georgetown would take a 7-3 lead going into half, as both teams ramped up their offensive outputs in the second. Georgetown would hang 10 points in the 3rd quarter, but matched as Campbellsville would score 7 in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

With the game tied at the end of regulation each team had a chance to score, Campbellsville won the toss and elected to defend. Georgetown’s defense stayed true to keep Campbellsville scoreless in OT. On offense QB Gehrig Slunaker saved his best throw for last as he hit Chandler Godby for a 23 yard pass, then later Slunaker snuck for a 1 yard rush to seal the deal.

Georgetown captures its 21st regular season title, going back to back. The Tigers remain unbeaten in conference play up to this point. This earns them an automatic bid to the 2024 NAIA Football College Series!

Georgetown is currently 7-2 in the regular season and 5-0 in conference play, only having to travel to Lindsey Wilson for the final game of their season. The MSc regular season will come to an end November 16th.
